I have an ORIGINAL Case V-42 WWII dagger. Does anyone know an average value on them? It's got the original sheath and is in about 80% condition

I've got one. Check eBay, there are plenty of them there.
Not worth a whole lot. We are not talking hundreds.

It depends on condition. May go for several hundred dollars. There's a post in Bladeforums back in 2011 saying it could be worth up to $4200.00. I don't want to get your hopes up but if it is original and not a commemorative it is pretty rare. The collector knife market is up and down. eBay has one, a legit Case, that has a buy it now for $439.95 and it has 11 people watching. It could go higher depending on how bad someone wants it.
