Braintree Cannon Repair

they should talk to the RI artilery group (cant remember the name they use but theres only one). I knew one of the guys who had a veary simular carrage setup. The sticking point is that they want it for free though and thats hard for anyone to do

I believe you make be referring to the Newport Artillery Company ( as in Newport RI). I grew up in Newport and witnessed many an event where the members shot their cannon. If anyone is going to Newport stop by and check out their Museum. Its not state of the art but still has a lot of interesting items a worth the visit! ( They may also know where to get the wheels made)

I've had people buy from this outfit. Wheels are not as expensive as you might think.

36" cannon wheels for around a hundred fifty. (shipping not included.)

Unfortunately those wheels are only decorations and might not work.

But these wheels appear to be for real cannons and cost about $350.00 each.

They are located in Kentucky and shipping may be more than the cost of the wheels.

Are they 2A friendly....if not screw them! Let the cannon rot! Let them mooch there money from the Antis.

IIRC, the director of the Braintree Historical Society paid a visit to one of BR&P's meetings, the club donated some money to them after her presentation and I think that she joined the club sometime after that. If so, judge accordingly.
