I just recently purchased a blackpowder revolver. I hav fred it, but now I have no clue how to break it down and clean it. Any advice?

You are going to want to thoroughly clean all surfaces with hot water. black powder is wicked corrosive so it needs to be done ASAP. wipe all surfaces down after you clean and dry it with a patch rubbed down with bore butter. more ML help go to http://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/ . As for breaking it down look on the MFG web site for directions.

If it's a Colt style (open top) tap out the barrel wedge far enough that it's only held in by the retaining screw. Pull the barrel and rammer assembly forward off the base pin. Bring the hammer to half cock and slide the cylinder off the base pin. If it's a Remington style (with a top strap) bring the hammer to half cock, lower the rammer and pull the base pin forward and out. Remove the cylinder.
