Got one, had it for a few yrs now. Got it as a clearance price (under $600) since the particular model, Defense, was being discontinued. cylinder bore with no choke threads. Got it for those shotgun only zones. Using the Brenekke slugs, it'll cloverleaf 3 shots a 75 yrds. Like it? Yeah it's an awesome shotgun. Feeds everything I've put through it.

I have one, too. Mine is an early H&K import with rifle sights,
6+1 and a straight cylinder bore. It is damned accurate and
very light. It also just looks badass. On the minus side,
it kicks like the dickens because it is so light. I don't plan on
selling mine any time soon, and it is a heck of a defense gun,
but I don't think that I would want to hunt with it. I'd say
I'm somewhere between like and love...The new ones are compatable
with their mercury recoil reducers, which would be a help
if you shot it alot.

This info dated from late last century but for historical purposes ...

The Super90 (as imported by H&K) was one of the only autoloading 12-gauges that would reliably, from the box, cycle Federal's Tactical (aka Reduced Recoil ... i.e. less than typical number of 00 pellets) buckshot load. Much of that had to do with its (delayed?) roller-block design. However, like firtree wrote, they could kick like h*** with heavy loads. Still, I always wanted one (in entry format) but "settled" for a customized 870. One day perhaps I'll post a picture of her.
