Belt laws

I know about mags but belts never looked at. They should be preban or something too no? And then there is a way to update them but they still stay prebans (like springs in mags)
Any info much appreciated

Yes, belts can be pre and post ban. It's a feeding device.

If you have a pre-ban disintigrating link belt, make sure you never let it get down to fewer than 11 rounds, because then when you refill (reassemble?) it to have more than 10, you'd be "manufacturing a high capacity feeding device". If you rebuild it at 11 rounds then it's still pre-ban.

I'm 99.999999% sure there's zero case law on this.
