Avatar? how to get one?

Ive been trying to figure out how to get an avatar here. I have one on photobucket i want to use, but I'm just a little computer dumb and haven't been able to figure it out.

can we upload are own or does an admin have to?

any help would be great, before i throw this computer out the window.
