Fantastic piece of research; thanks for sharing. I will be sharing far and wide, although I'll probably link to the SSRN abstract page rather than Breitbart. The Breitbart links tend to lower antis' and undecideds' credibility meter, and the abstract paragraph is retty compelling in and of itself.

The article does not make sense. Economists were asked “In the United States, are guns used in self-defense more often than they are used in the commission of a crime?”
Everyone knows that guns are NOT used in self defense MORE than they are used in commission of crimes. That will only happen if more people carry. That is common sense. These economists are clueless. And so are the people that wrote the article.
