I bought two new Chip McCormack 8-round 1911 mags at a shop in the Cape this weekend for $28 each. They came in the authentic looking packaging so I didn't think to look them over at the store. When I loaded some rounds at the range, they felt pretty cheap.

Here are a few close-ups, compared to the real deal. These have to be knock-off's, right? Or could it be old stock?

Different followers. Here's an authentic one...

And nasty, blobby welding...

So what do you think? Should I get a refund?

Looks like a knockoff to me. I think I had one of those "fakes" at one time, too. Normal CMC mags always have the numbers and writing on the side.
