AR Sling mounts

I have completed my build of an AR-15 and want to thank those that offered some guidance along the way. I am now in search of what appears to be unicorn farts. Let me explain.

I purchased an upper from Stag that came with a railed gas block and standard 1.25" sling loop pinned to the bottom of the block. I want to replace the standard loop with a QD mount, but cannot find anything that will allow for this. I do not want to put a rail mount adapter on it as there will be a folding BUIS front added to the top of the block.

Can any of you suggest a solution to this? I really want to mount the sling attachment in place of the existing GI style loop.

It is a Stag 3H upper for reference.

What are you using for a fore end? Better to tie in there than the barrel anyway.

Without changing to a rail for end of some kind I think your stuck with the standard loop

If you have a spot on fore end you can drill a 1/2" hole, these work well:

I've got one in a MOE fore end, and another in a free-float tube. Relatively cheap, and work great. IWC light mounts and hand stops are also very nice.

Update..I found Paraclips from Magpul that fit the bill for this application. They fit the original sling attachment and have the added benefit of letting the sling be positioned through 180 degrees. They have a locking tab, and seem to work very well so far.

Now if only a deer would show up.......
