Anyone removed a factory barrel...

...From a 10/22? I got a new barrel, came in today, and I'm trying to pull the factory barrel from the receiver but it's stuck in there like a bastid.

I've got the receiver/barrel out of the stock and the allen screws and v-block removed, but the barrel won't budge.

Do I need to put it in a vice, drift it out with a punch, or just pull like hell?

Any tips and/or tricks are welcome. +1 for input.

Pull and rotate at the same time, it'll break free eventually.

I just checked out a few threads on rimfirecentral, seems I'm not the only one with this issue. Consensus seems to be: heat the receiver with a hair dryer, put the whole thing in the freezer, hit it with a hammer, or cycle the bolt and let the bolt loosen it up.

YMMV, and I'll let you guys know how it goes for me tomorrow.

That is very awesome. I have never seen a barrel with a finish like that. Very cool looking, if it shoots as good as it looks, that will be even better.
