Anyone own a laser engraving machine?

I'm interested in getting one, but know very little, I'll do my research but just wondering if anyone on here has one they like or could offer recommendations etc etc. Looking to spend as little as possible but I know something decent will likely be at least 1k. Mostly for metal work, slides and things like that. Figured I'd ask. Thanks.

I have a 30 watt laser engraver. That's enough power to engrave or cut wood up to 1/4" thick, or cut acrylic plastic about the same. Takes more power to cut metal, I doubt you'll find one for that cheap.
