anyone know the going price for a brass blunder buss?

There's one that's going to be sold at a local estate auction next week, and I've always wanted one.

I can't make the auction, so I'd like to leave an absentee bid, but don't know what would be a reasonable bid.

I saw one for sale in an antique shop a couple years ago. The asking price was $750. It looked like it had been there for years! At auction, I'd probably bit a lot less.
