Anybody ever use Belgian Blue?

Anybody ever use it?
Satisfied?
What results did you get?
Was it as easy as advertised?

I am thinking of using it on a carbon steel pistol, if I can't get useful reviews, I may just buy it and try it on some carbon bar stock to get an idea of how it works.

I haven't tried this stuff but are you looking to redo the whole slide and frame? If so, I might suggest one of the bake on finishes from Brownells. I did a 1911 with gunkote and it came out great. If you are set on the blued finish I can tell you, it is all in the prep. Me personally, I would send it out to have it blued, but I certainly understand the "do it yourself" attraction.

Thanks for the input Rick, it would be being done on new frame and slide. Not really set on a blued finish, just trying to research all my options. Another way I was thinking of going was Cerakote, it is a bake on finish a lot like gunkote which you recommended. ( http://www.nicindustries.com/firearm_coatings.php )
