Ammo count?

i buy it as i need it. no huge stockpileof ammo.
just a few hundred rounds of various calibers at all times.

That was how I used to be until I could no longer swing by the shop to get ammo on the way t the range. Now, I buy when I see it, and use it when I can. The net result has made for a nice stockpile of ammo, so that it is actually easy to pick up and go to the range at any time, as opposed to hoping the store has some ammo left.

More than I need, less than I want. I would feel comfortable with about 1000 rounds per caliber, I'm very far below that right now.

not enough

(I didn't read through the whole post so I don't mean to derail anyone on page 6 having a different conversation ;) )

Just one round - but like Barney Fife, I have to keep it in my pocket for when I need it.

Depending on which caliber, a minimum of 300 to a maximum of 30,000, but I'll always buy more if the price is right. Those are the levels I like to keep at all times, usually there is more than that.
