I'm trying to help a friend of mine to sell his older shotgun.
Here is the description by the owner:

"LCSmith side by side 16 Ga double, full and modified chokes, Field Grade with double triggers.
50 % bluing on barrels, a few spots of very superficial rust (visible on the last picture). Case hardening on receiver is in very good shape, nice walnut stock with oil finish and recoil pad.
Receiver and barrels both stamped with LC Smith.
Stampings under barrels are - no. 42444, Field 2 3/4 in. chambers.
Stampings on breech block are - FWS 42444, Field.
I will sell it with a Lee Load All reloading tool, many empty cases, and 16 boxes of hunting and target ammo."

Does anybody know what is an approximate value of this shotgun? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some pictures.

I will try to get some pics. It might take several days.
But in general, do you have any idea on the possible value range?

From what I have been able to dig up, I would guess around $750,
but that could but off by quite a bit. Did you check under the
barrels for any markings? Even markings that are not serial numbers?

After closer examination, the owner found the following info:

"Stampings under barrels are - no. 42444, Field 2 3/4 in. chambers.
Stampings on breech block are - FWS 42444, Field."
