I punch quite a bit of paper mainly to practice my draw & marksmanship and on one of my range sessions one of the other shooters invited me to a monthly action pistol and carbine competition. It's an informal affair but there is friendly competition but without any money or prizes on the line. I've never shot on a course or even against time so of course I thought it would be a fun experience and a good way to meet some more shooters in my area. I got up early and arrived a little bit before registration to make my introductions and get some instruction on the courses of fire. My wife usually takes the videos but unfortuately she was with her friend at the Dogwood Festival so it took me a few stages before I found someone who was comfortable enough to try to take some decent footage. The film came out pretty good and I had a great time. I'll definately be back next month. I was shooting my H&K P30L 9mm pistol and an AR-15 piston carbine that I built a few years ago. I thought I did pretty good and I can't wait to do this again. Here's some footage of my morning!
