A Place In the Woods Trading Post, no more

Is out of business, the former store location (on 16 acres) is for sale.

This shop had been in business for over 3 decades, anybody hear why they closed down? I bought my first NH hunting license there.

Yup. They closed up a little while ago, early Spring. I mentioned it a few weeks back to someone looking for a shop in that general area. I remember it from when I was a kid and it was one of the first "HAH - just as I remember it... oh wait the canoe moved" sort of experiences I had when I saw it again some 25 years later. Always liked that place, both sets of owners, but the new ones seem to have not been able to hack it.

Update: In March of 2012 we decided to close the store due to decreasing customer demand, local demographic changes and the overall economic conditions. We are currently seeking a buyer or leasor for the real estate.
