A frustrated newbie

Hey everyone,

I'm new to MA. and recently got a Class A restricted for Sporting and Shooting. My question is this. With this license am I permited to CC my semi when I go hiking in the mountains? I've asked several "professionals" who tell me that it depends on how the local officials interperate the law.

Welcome to the forum. If your LTC says sporting and target then you cannot Conceal Carry it.

Thanks for the info. Is it possible for me to update my license? Or am I screwed for another 6 years?

You may want to talk to an attorney that has great knowledge of Ma gun laws about upgrading. There are a few that lurk around here. I am going to move this to the laws forum in the mean time.

Generally chiefs will refuse to upgrade a LTC while it is still valid. Legally they can do it if they want to, but they usually "don't want to"!
