A disagreement from another forum....

Nope. don't think so at all.

I think that Maveri-whateverhisnumberis is setting himself up for a fall, though.

Just off the top of my head, if he ever gets a no-knock warrant served on him (whether it's justified or a wrong address as happened in Boston a year or two back), he's either gonna get killed or he's gonna kill a cop with that attitude.

BTW... I don't know what he's got against them, but I carry a flashlight AND a Leathman tool with me every day... whether I need them or not.

you anwsered that question the same way i'd anwser it..

so no,i don't think you were "scriveneresque" (what ever it means)

(great, now i gots another forum to hang out at)

If you are on page 3, dah, what is your user name there..????

I'm there where are you ????

Jim, I think it depends on how many posts you have showing up on a page. In the default settings, he's on page 5 or 6, I think, since there's a poster with the same name as his name on this forum.

ps - "jimb the stripper"???? PLEASE do NOT demonstrate at practice Thursday night or at the shoot on Saturday!!

Rofl I find that thread amusing.

This guy is so clueless..... apparently he hasnt been blasted by a good
flashlight before.

I carry one around all the time... becuase it's "legal" just about
everywhere. It can be carried where you cannot CCW, generally
even places where there are metal detectors.

And FWIW, Homer, I don't think you were too scrivneresque... that
being said... I have to admit though, the problem with such topics on
internet gun boards is that they all fail to take into account varying gun laws
of different states, and circumstances in different locales, etc. In some
locales, anyone breaking into your house is pretty much justifiable allowance for
deadly force. What is not allowed in MA may be "passable" in Texas or
many other states. In some locales the DA using prosecutorial discretion
to its fullest degree, regardless of what the law is. (EX: Guy shoots a
drunken bum that broke into his house, DA lets shooter off because theres
been a series of home invasions in the area and no jury is going to hang the
homeowner on that one.... once in a great while there are DAs which are
remotely human, none of which probably exist in MA or any other
communist state, of course.). I'm not suggesting that capping anything
that moves that comes into your house at night is a good idea- but that
merely the rules of engagment change SIGNIFICANTLY from one place
to another. The OP is in GA, which is going to have considerably more
liberal deadly force laws and enforcement thereof than much of the
northeast, for instance.

But all that is somewhat aside from the point... I think you were right
in generally trying to attack his "killer mindset". It doesn't take a whole
lot of "extra" effort" to try to identify a target before shooting
at it. Even if the law is on your side in any event, I know damn well
I'd have issues sleeping at night if I killed someone that didn't
need to be. Not to be corny, but hell, even Dirty Harry
said "Nothing wrong with shooting, as long as the right people get
shot!" So it behooves us as gun owners to only hit the RIGHT
targets.
