Saw this on liveleak and didn't see it posted anywhere on NES, so here it is. Powerful stuff.

The video description states that some of the video is also the Liberation of Prague. If you only want to watch a few minutes of it I recommend going to minute 4 on the vid and watching from there.

May 1945. Field Marshall Ferdinand Schoerner ordered the 7th Army's 11th Panzer Division, to turn east to fight the Soviets. U.S. 2nd Cavalry Group's commander Col. Charles H. Reed was approached by the 11th Panzer's commander General Wendt von Weitersheim to discuss surrender. Patton's Division commander Brigadier General Herbert Earnest met with the Germans in the Czech village of Vseruby and agreed to terms. The U.S. then sent in fuel and the 11th Panzer fueled up and headed west to surrender to the U.S. instead of meeting certain death fighting the Soviet advance. 9,000 soldiers, 7 tanks, a hundred+ half-tracks, fifteen self-propelled guns and over a thousand assorted vehicles surrendered.

Just finished watching Band of Brothers last night so this is an interesting addition to that.

Around the 3:15 mark, it looks like one of the Germans on the driver's side hood of a half-track has a Thompson SMG.

Also interesting to see they made the officer with one leg on crutches, walk.

That's not an officer. It's a 'Unteroffizier' of the Luftwaffe - US rank would be corporal.
