308 AR using M14 or Fal magazines

I have a quick question. I was thinking about starting a 308 AR project. I'd like over a 10 round capacity, so I'd need to use preban magazines. Are there AR lowers that use M14 or FAL mags? I've seen some (Armalite) talk about modified M14 mags. What is the modification? Would it still work in a M14 or would I be creating a new high capacity feeding device? Thanks!

Fidelis has a .308 AR lower that takes G3 mags. If you're selecting based on preban mag availability, G3 mags are cheap and plentiful.

The AR10 does use a modified M14 magazine. The modified magazine still works in an M14.

RRA already makes a 308 using FAL mags. The Bushmaster BAR-10 used FAL mags. Bushmaster returned the licensing to RRA about 5 years ago and they released it a couple years ago as the LAR-8.

Just EDTA: Looks like Bushmaster has released a new 308, the Bushmaster .308 ORC (meaning no iron sights come with it) but it looks like it takes the DMPS (can't tell by the pic) type of mag, not the FN-FAL.
