And as usual, they are highlighting at least one gun that I was hoping to acquire, thus driving up the prices on the auction boards and elsewhere. Oh, well..

Get them while you can - they only do a limited run, then they're gone.

Handgun only issue this time?

On a related note... has the Shotgun News Treasury edition come out yet?

Alot of handguns, but a bunch of long guns, too. And, yes, I think I did see the treasury edition.

Shouldn't be hard to find the surplus mag over the next couple of weeks - regular book stores as well as Wal-Mart.

ive got one, its an ok read. to be honest, you can get the info off the interwebs. though not on glossy paper.

all of sudden 1917's have been coming out of the woodwork for ridiculous prices on the auction sites...

I had the time to stop by the Walmart in Plymouth on my way home, got one!

I like the article "A Luger comes to America". It's about how many different ways the P.08 could have made its way back to the States during and after WWII, and how many bullshit stories there are out there regarding how they were aquired. Interesting stuff.

Oh, and now I really want a Webley .455 Automatic!
