Not the biggest deer, but is sure to fill up the freezer.

Keep at it. I hadn't seen much for sign until this last couple of days.
Looks (and smells) like the rut is on full now so put out your scent bombs.

This guy came in to a tinks bottle like he was on rails. I hadn't been in the stand an hour.

nice buck.. suck they only allow you one rifle/BP tag.. onto bow hunting i guess... i think it oughta be 2 deer during any season combo of one doe with a buck or 2 bucks.. where did you take this buck?

It doesnt seem like they're on full rut here.(SW NH) I've only seen 1 scraping so far.

I took the buck in Wilton so not far from Ringe. I haven't seen many rub's/scrapes but they are starting to rut.

Perhaps someday I'll give the deer hunting thing a try, I'd be more tempted if I knew someone that would show me the ropes. Shotgun only around me, but I can go right out of my back yard. Congrats.

Go get youself into a hunter safety course and listen to the instructors. They can be a huge weath of information.
Then get out there and stay safe.

I went through the course, but it was about 14-15 years ago.
