1st time with a 338 Lapua

Got the chance to shoot a Savage 338 Lapua this weekend. What a blast!!!
Shot a full 20oz nitrogen tank, that thing took off like a rocket.

Jealous. That round is still on my shooting wish list; but, I don't think I'm a good enough shot to challenge it much.

Nice! Had a guy at our range on Father's day shooting a 338 Lapua at some gallon water jugs. Looked like a freakin' blast. Muzzle blast off that thing when shooting prone was kicking up dust clouds off his sides as well.

I got to shoot an AIM in .338 Lapua last year. Great round, great rifle. It actually made me look like a marksman!

I also got to shoot a Barret 50 the same day. The muzzle blast on that made the AIM look mild in comparison. You do not want to stand to the side when someone is shooting one.
