I've wanted one of these for a while but it's tough finding one at all, let alone one in nice condition with proper timing and lockup. When I finally found one that fit both bills I snatched it up. Anyone else have one or know where I can find a box of .38LC? I'd like to try it while I research reloading for this obscure caliber.

Thanks guys. It locks up great and timing seems good so I guess I got lucky. I am trying to hunt down an original lanyard ring; apparently Colt used the same one for decades, so one off a 1917 would fit and be correct on my new army.

On a sidenote, apparently somewhere along production Colt changed from a "straight" to "shouldered" chamber (or vice versa) so they could shoot the new .38spl. I've never encountered either term before, what would the difference look like? I doubt mine was updated, as a 9mm/.38/.357 brass bore brush slips very easily down the bore.
