The Western Mass Bird Dog Club has a Class A Shooting Preserve in Granville MA open year round for members and guests. The club offers guided and guest hunts for Pheasants and Chukar Partridge. For more information contact Jim Waitkus at [email protected].

Jim is kinda like Paul Bunyan... Larger than life and the subject of many tales. Only thing different is a big grey dog (weimaraner) named Buddy replaces Babe the Big Blue OX

With the rain we're getting... the snow should melt and we should be able to get some MUCH over due shooting in.

My dogs are going thru Witdrawl.

Hope to see you up at the club soon. Jim mentioned some dates that might work out.

Have a friend that just joined a bird club with dog training, in Royalston. Website doesn't load, http://www.hedgerow.com. Here is a Yahoo Map, http://maps.yahoo.com/;_ylc=X3oDMTE...&mag=3&q1=268 Athol Richmond Rd, Royalston MA

There's a place in Berkeley, MA, I don't recall the name of it. Has hunting.

Addieville in RI is a popular place, http://www.addieville.com/

Another popular one in CT, Markover in Danielson, http://www.wingshootingusa.org/WSUSA_SearchResults.cfm?ID=A6UJ9A001FE1

Chukar Hunting in Western Mass

The snow is finally melting in Western Mass. We did some shooting at the Western Mass Bird Dog Club today. Chukar Partridge. The club isl really starting to work dogs and the hunting will be great through the end of April. The club doesn't charge for dog training. There are a few members that have master level hunting dogs and are happy to share their knowledge for free. Give us a try. Jon Green did.
