Does a tactical rail mounted light count?
What are people shooting? IE: mag capacity, caliber???

Rail mounted lights aren't legal in idpa. The most popular thing to shoot is 9mm glocks and m&ps, but there's a place for anything 9 to 45. If you look around this forum, there are several threads on getting started in idpa.

Great match today even if I couldn't shoot straight, follow the instructions, or remember to turn my camera on for all 6 stages.
