I need someone to tell me where to sit though. Dont have time for homework.
As close as possible to Newton area (no jokes please :))

Thanks.

Harold Parker state park. You'll love it, and you can make lots of friends as there will be PLENTY of other hunters in there with ya[rofl]

I was serious. Decent deer numbers, I have hunted it myself. I just choose not too now because it's so damn crowded.

Is this a joke? You are essentially paying for information on a guided hunt. And you want that information for free? I hope nobody gives you any info as it's counter intuitive as a hunter to give information retrieved through hard work to somebody that doesn't want to do their "homework" as you call it. Pick up another hobby, possibly reading...then you can use sparknotes so you don't actually have to read

Any hunter who knows where to sit, will be sitting there himself! Especially in the Newton area. If you want to hunt, but don't have time for anything besides sitting and pulling the trigger, than paying for a guide would probbaly be your best bet. Just PLEASE dont do anything despicable like setting up next to someone else's stand or even worse, using someone elses stand.

Anyone is going to give me a name of a God damn company or we are just going to talk?

I did...see post #8.

Useless to ask questions as usual.

you asked a vaugue question to a group of people whose 1 assett, information, puts food on the table. Hunting takes time, and the most enjoyable part for me isn't the shot, but the time I spend in the woods scouting. If you're just interested in shooting an animal I would suggest going to a guide in another state, Maine perhaps.

Thank you for your answers. And I do want to scouts but I need to know where. What Forrest I can go to

ok now we're getting somewhere; First read this thread... http://www.northeastshooters.com/vb...guide-to-hunting-in-Massachusetts-from-Cerfur

Then pull up this map... http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/dfg/dfw/maps-destinations/wildlife-management-areas.html or this link... http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/dcr/massparks/recreational-activities/hunting.html

and if you take others advice and decide to hunt Harold Parker go here... http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/dcr/massparks/region-north/harold-parker-state-forest.html

oh and do the bow hunters a favor and scout on Sundays.

What you'll find is that after hunting on a WMA a time or two you'll either go looking for private land or quit hunting

I've used Baymen charters down in Duxbury MA for deer hunting guide. He taught me a lot, showed me how to find sign, but we didn't happen to shoot any the days we went out. But the info was invaluable and if recommend him to anyone who is new to this.

I'll also add, it was a year or two after I spent a few days with him before I finally started to figure this stuff out.

Good luck.

I'll hunt WMA's for upland bird but that's about it. I want to be as far away as possible from strangers with buckshot or slugs in their gun, which is why my buddies and I generally find the places no other hunters would bother to get to for deer.

I never had any close calls, but the hunting pressure at the WMA I hunted was so bad the deer were gone 1 hour after opening on the first day.

Same here - they find a new zip code to relocate to.
