I'm a huge hunter but never hunt in mass.
i live outside Boston and hunt in Warner/Salisbury NH almost exclusively, the one time i hunted ma i camped out at Wompatuck and got up early to hunt turkey last year, didn't hear or see anything and on the walk back to the truck with my buddy we came across a couple walking their dog on the path, we were all decked out for the hunt, full camo, camo shotguns, backpacks etc... they were absolutely horrified the woman came over and said what are you doing I'm calling the police you cant have guns in the park!!! while her husband stood quivering across the path (obvious who wears the pants in that relationship) we informed her that not only is it legal but we signed in with the rangers when checking in and showed the highlighted map that the ranger made for us to show where he had seen some toms the week before(awesome guy), she still insisted that it was illegal and would be calling the park ranger when she got back to the car, we said have a nice day and walked away
I'm sticking to NH, great gross pheasant woodcock and GREAT people!
