The staple of all milsurp collections, Mosin Nagant 91/30 just showed up.
Ishevsk arsenal, 1940 build date, all matching numbers.
I was actually surprised at the matching bolt.
The fit and finish is vastly different than my post-war M44. They obviously just needed to get them out the door to the lines.
This thing dwarfs my Mausers, it barely fits in the safe. Pics and range report soon.

Time to grab a Finn Mosin now! The Model 27 and 28 Finns are particularly good shooters, but the 39 is no slouch.

However, I agree with Juergen - first, get a K98 Mauser (or any mauser, for that matter!) if you don't have one yet.
