What do you expect for $5.95?

I received my M1 Garand slings from the CMP today. Here are the different ones. I'm not sure of the markings on one. I know it says 1944 when held just right you can read it. I can't tell the initials and I don't know who made them besides MRT. It's too bad they ran out. I can use a few more.

Nice looking slings. MRT I believe stands for "Mildew Retardant Treatment", with the year of treatment. I have a few of the old canvas slings with similar markings.

No kidding me too. I always thought that marking meant the item belonged to Mr. T.

the used slings are a far better deal than the new ones........god I hate that. 60+ year old sling I have works great the 2 new ones from CMP
both end tabs came off with in a few uses. Latches either wont close or wont stay closed.....nice little collection.
