I have to use a day of vacation or lose it at the end of the month, so I'm heading fishing tomorrow morning. I have about five hours to go fish somewhere before I have to head back to Framingham to get the goddamn raccoon removed from under my roof. Fly or spin/casting are options. Hive mind: Where should I head? Would prefer something within an hour drive of me.

Maybe a little more then a hour but take the fly rod out to the Swift River in Belchertown

Hour and 4 minutes. That sounds like a nice trip. Could maybe fish Quabbin if I'm striking out on trout.

No idea what to pack for fishing there. Any suggestions? Grey caddis, woollie buggers and some assorted nymphs?

Went to the Swift this morning. Holy hell, that's a great spot. Saw dozens of BIG rainbows and a few brookies. Couldn't get anything to pay attention to my flies (Tried a caddis imitation, a spider/beetle and a woolie bugger with no results), but I'll be back!

Was amazed at the number of folks there at 9:00 on a Wednesday morning.
