Planning on getting another web sling or two for milsurps. Nylon or cotton and why?

Nylon is stronger, slightly slippery, easier to clean, can wear some finishes, can melt and burns fairly easily. Cotton is slightly weaker, can get dirty, is softer on finishes, doesn't melt, is slightly grippier, doesn't burn very easily, can be dyed different colors.

I prefer cotton.

Thanks all. I have some nice leather slings including a Brown and a Turner, a Turner Biothane, and a cotton I use on my old school CMP AR. I was curious about nylon but will just stick with cotton for now.

All you need to do is touch a nylon sling and you will just say ....nooo

Also finding a nylon loop sling like the Loop GI web sling might be harder? I don't know I had a nylon loop sling that was supposed to be original USGI for a m14 and the feel was awful
