Here's a shot of my Walther AC44 P38. All matching, 2 mags & box of 9mm ammo that was issued with it. It's a Vet bring back. The background is a piece of nylon parachute material that it was wrapped in when it was given to me.
The pistol is known as a "two tone". The barrel and slide are blued and the frame has a phosphate finish. Grips are original red Bakelite. The paint on the saftey "S" is still there as is the red on the "F".

Wow, that is a great piece. Any more of the story of how it became a bringback?
Thanks.
The GI's were checking houses in Aachen Germany and found an officer hiding. He was taken POW. I have a ceremonial bayonet too that was taken at the same time. I have a copy of the capture papers. The original was in his scrapbook. He has died and I think someone in the family has the scrapbook, I hope. I was going to ask for it. The capture paper does not list the serial number.
