Vintage Sniper Rifle Team Match September 10, 2017


Location: Pelham Fish and game Club Simpson Mill Road Pelham, NH Directions: From Interstate 93 (either north or south) get off at exit 2. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp and go to the 1st traffic light (northbound exit) or the 2nd light (southbound exit). Turn right on S. Policy St. and travel about 1 mile. Turn right onto Rt.38 south. Stay on Rt38 for 3.7 miles. Turn right onto Hobbs Rd. You'll see the blue Pelham Fish and Game sign right before Hobbs. Take Hobbs for 3/10ths of a mile and turn right on Simpson Mill Rd. Stay on Simpson Mill Rd for 1 mile. The main club entrance will be on your right. This is two weeks prior to the CMP New England Games and is a good time to ensure your zeros.
Course of fire, Alternating Relays Vintage Sniper Match Course of Fire: 5 minutes for both shooters for sighting shots at 300 and 600 yards Shooter 1 will shoot 10 shots. Shooter 2 will then shoot 10 shots. The targets will be exposed for 20 seconds then in the pits for 20 seconds. This is repeated at 300 and 600 yards.
Targets used SR-3 at 300 Yards and MR-1 at 600 yards. Match Fee: Match fee is $20.00 per team.
Ammo: Any safe ammo provided by the competitor. Start time: At the conclusion of the morning Garand, Springfield and Vintage rifle match. Match will start 1:00 PM
Preregistration is recommended.
Squadding: There will be a morning and afternoon relays on September 9 and a morning relay on September 10. The Vintage Sniper Match will start at 1:00 PM on September 10.
Firearms Allowed: As listed in the CMP rule book.

Garand Match Up to 5 sighters from any safe position in a time limit of 10 minutes Up to 5 Sighters and 10 rounds in 10 minutes slow fire prone 10 rounds in 70 seconds standing to prone 10 rounds in 10 minutes offhand Springfield and Vintage Rifles Matches Up to 5 Sighters and 10 rounds in 15 minutes slow fire prone 10 rounds in 80 seconds standing to prone 10 rounds in 10 minutes offhand. Match Fees: 1 Match $15.00, 2 matches $25.00 and 3 matches $30.00

Squadding: There will be a morning and afternoon relay on September 9 and a morning relay on September 10. A sniper match will commence at 1:00PM on September 10.

Thanks for posting! Please be sure to post future events. A few of us travel to Pembroke but could get to Pelham just as easily. That weekend is a conflict for the OCSA match, otherwise I'd come to Pelham. Hope to do so in the future.
 
Bob G. has unfortunately lost his NES password and has tried multiple times to reactivate his status here but he's not getting any conformation emails. He asked me to post the match here in this sub forum. I frequently shoot with Bob over at PFG. I too would like to get into the Vintage Sniper matches, but first I need to find an 03-a4 !!
