The reason we don't see this often in Mass. is because most victims either don't have a carry permit or permission of the Boss to carry while working.If the Jewler was in Mass. and was in fear of being seriously injured or killed he would have the right to use lethal force.A few years ago an out of state jewler from NY was robbed by the Jewlers Building in Boston and he shot at the bad guy who got his diamonds and he was not charged with anything.Yes he had a Mass LTC-A.

there have been a few stories from Mass of both "good" and "bad" shots (subjective of course) where the LTC holders didn't get charged with anything... like shooting a mentally ill man inside their home.... moving on over to loosing thier LTC's for shooting other peoples dogs off their property, shooting at fleeing bad guys ect...
moving right down the "what if" trail to improper storage charges, on over into possession w/o a FID(LTC) during unrelated charges (investigations) ect...
there is NO guaranteed way to know... nor is there a safety blanket of any kind anywhere... especially here. someone breaks into your house, you shoot, you miss and your stray round kills the neighbors 8 month old baby IS part of the game... not just here, but anywhere.
IF you own (carry) guns for protection, you may want think about the worst case scenario EVERY DAY....
in addition to some training...

Thats Memphria for you and that probably wasn't the worst thing to happen in that day in the city.
I think he needed to land a few more on center mass so these guys got bagged and not hospitalized.

This would be a legitimate business use of firearms for protection. A lot of unrestricted LTC As are given out in MA just for this useage. If you have a business where you have to carry large sums of cash...you have to be prepared for some bg to figure that out.
