Video of California's DoJ confiscation squad in action

It’s nothing like blaming the clerk. That’s an absurd comparison.

You can choose to not shop at a store with shitty policies, but you are literally forced to “do business” with the state and the state’s agents.
And the police in this instance were courteous and calm. Without changing the law , then it will continue to happen.

And to add , you can move to another state to avoid that situation.

It's also ridiculous to think that a PD can choose to ignore a search warrant! Judge's orders are not optional and to fail them is a crime itself.
So you're saying that a search warrant is not the court's permission to search a premises,
but a court's order to search a premises?

If it's an order,
is it fulfilled if the police stick their heads over the threshhold,
opine that they don't see any machine guns,
and call it a day?

If it's an order,
and the contraband would fit in a septic tank,
are the police legally obligated to pry the lid off and go swimming?

Seriously?

What happened to, “if you obey the law...”?

Point is if someone lives in a state they are tired of the overreaching govt, choice is to change the laws or bail. I prefer the latter and move to a freer state and once early retirement hits, I’ll be gone.

[rofl]2020 has decisively proven that neither your vote nor SCOTUS matter. The real overreaching gov are feds, more so than locals. There are no free-er state, only states that are low on priority list.

1a, 2a, 3a ... are all fundamnetal (and universal) human rights, that do not take a PhD to understand. The only problem is the mental gymnastic that some people play trying to server their masters and justify crossing the line.

Maybe but if you are sitting idle, and just pointing fingers at those delivering the message or serving notice, without doing anything to address the politicians, well you are no better than those serving search warrants.

did you miss Watertown?
I didn't. Aside from nausea and rage it cemented my desire to leave that communist shit hole state.
Why wait?
Sometimes it's easier to complain than to do something about it.
That whole chase scene did give me heartburn, badly, but I was just starting a family at that time.

I am curious, did that event cause you to move?
it was one of many reasons we moved.
Same
nowhere to run
Sometimes it's a strategic retreat. And sometimes it's time to stop running, turn around, and say "No more, it stops here, now!"
just make sure your papers are in order and everyone needs to pee before we board the trains
I'm not getting on a train. Not breathing anyway.

I already did, and I sincerely hope you don't follow. You've clearly chosen moral bankruptcy and suckling at the government tit vs moral character and moving. You won't be "bailing" when you leave, you'll be claiming victim status and channeling those scumbag men on the Titanic that pushed women aside to get on the lifeboats.

Every Nazi that got tried said "I was only following orders." It was wrong then, it's wrong now, it will be wrong tomorrow. Anybody who justifies their morally bankrupt character and behavior with that excuse deserved (and deserves) to hang. Period. Full stop.

you're a petty tyrant with too much power
Actually no I’m not. I disagree with these asinine laws but I can do as much as you and that’s either lobby and get the laws changed or move. A few officers losing their jobs doesn’t have an effect. However I find it odd that people say police need to refuse to carry out the order even if it means losing their jobs, but they are also the same people who say they can’t get to the statehouse or attend a March for 2A because “I gotta work”.

let’s be clear I don’t agree with these overstepping anti constitutional laws. I have attended almost every hearing for firearm owners and protests which I find amusing that many here give the excuse they have to work and can’t go.I guess it’s easier to lay blame on a few and sit back. However in the end I’ve never had to go against what I believe are people’s rights according to the constitution so my conscience is clear. However I already have a home in a free southern state and look forward to leaving.

I'm not one of those whiners you refer to, but there's no way for you to know that. I've been to rallies and attended local councils and written letters and made phone calls. My brother-in-law and I were at the rally "after Maura" and were quoted in some rag BY NAME that we would not comply with her edicts.

My wife and I have the courage of our convictions. After going through a nasty, bitter, financially ruinous divorce I stayed in MA for 3 more years to allow my youngest daughter to graduate from the first school she attended for more than a year in a row.

Three weeks after she left for college (SNHU) my wife (born and raised in MA) and I (by then had lived there for 11 years) packed up what we couldn't/didn't want to sell amd moved 1100 miles away to a home we had purchased 3 months prior in a town where we literally knew NOONE and neither had a job waiting. We moved in to the house the day before our 4th anniversary.

Anybody that WANTS to do it CAN do it.

That’s quite a trip you have been on this far and you are right I have no way to tell what anyone has been through nor they can for myself. Leaving Ones home state is not easy but I have banged my head long enough here and have no guilt leaving. I will say that I have been singled out with several others I work with who have attended rallies and statehouse meetings. However I do have strong convictions about 2A despite being called various names on this board, hell my skin is much too thick to that crap bother me. I’ll continue to work until early retirement hits , which can’t come soon enough.

how many more of these "searches/seizures" will occur before "cold head hands", "pile of brass", "barrel will be hot" and all the other BS warriorspeak, happens. We can't keep moving from state to state until there is nowhere to run.

I stay in MA only because of close family with medical issues and can't move. Once they are gone, I'm moving as far away from the NE as possible to a free state.
As Tom Brady said, "I won't be caught dead in the northeast again"

I’ve said before, the public school system has endoctinated soo many generations of Americans in liberal speak. We will never get enough Americans to have our backs. Small fires will be extinguished. Honest , it sucks.

that's for damn sure. My kids had totally different ideologies after they came home from college.

It is natural to sympathize socialism when you are young, live in a dorm with no possessions and spend all the parents money.
Once one builds his own domain and gets something to lose - then an idea of sharing somebody’s else’s wealth gets less and less attractive.

But, now they are trying to sell an idea of sharing billions with billionaires. Same shit that took place back in 1917 - only no one cares about learning history in here.

you Should focus instead on the moronic politicians that you vote into office who have no problem infringing on your rights and putting you under constant harassment. If you live in Mass you have allowed this for years and cower under the hammer or Maura. The police were courteous during the search and were doing what the DA told them to do. While you don’t like it, nor do I to be transparent , you can lose your job when you refuse orders so I cannot blame them. Mass is just California a few years behind. Again it’s because who you vote into office and the little they here from firearm owners.
I understand your premise here but I need to point out that every time you used the word "you" it certainly does not refer to me as I never vote for these cretins. My only recourse is to leave this sh....t hole of a state as I have been out voted in virtually every state election in my lifetime. Having said all that it does not seem right that the majority can deny me of my constitutional rights but unfortunately they can if "officials" will carry out their orders.

My kids now say "I won't mind paying more taxes for free college, free medical insurance, cancelation of my student loan, free this and that, etc..."
I love them to death, but I expected them to get out of college less ignorant, not more.

It takes time. Some things cannot be explained. Especially if they were brainwashed for most of their lives.

I am trying really hard with my kids. We traveled a lot, they saw south america well, saw all the real poverty and, I hope, see why their parents fled the socialism plague.

But, I dunno. The narrative from other side is too powerful.

It’s akin to blaming the clerk or the like at any business that has policies you disagree with. Sure you can say then why don’t you quit the job or ignore the command but some of us don’t have another job to go to. I’ll go back to my original statement (which someone decided to get all pissy about). There needs to be a law change because politicians are writing firearms laws with little consideration on how they impact anyone rather they are doing or to just write laws.

Yes but the store clerk isn't kicking my door in a 3AM with weapons draw.
A man has to think about his actions and the effect on others.
When you know what your doing is wrong and you do it anyway you are less than nothing.
At that point trying to do the mental gymnastics required to somehow place yourself in a different category from any mob hit man on the planet would wear out Mary Lou Retton .

Maybe but if you are sitting idle, and just pointing fingers at those delivering the message or serving notice, without doing anything to address the politicians, well you are no better than those serving search warrants.

It's a bit of a circular argument .
How do you suggest we "Deal " the the politicians ?
We now now that voting them out is no longer an option.
Taking the next step by using force. means we're back to square on, dealing with the enforcers .

I think we can safely assume that Biden, Harris , Pelosi , Shumer , Shiff ect. aren't gearing up and kicking doors.
The only power they have is men willing to blindly follow immoral orders against their fellow countrymen .
Without them they have nothing.

They knocked on the door and were extremely polite and it was the middle of the day.

Oh, well, as long as they’re polite when they violate your 4th amendment rights during an effort to suppress your 2nd amendment right. All good then.

Serving a legal search warrant in a polite fashion violates neither.

Depends on why the warrant was issued. Absolutely no way is it constitutionally okay to issue a search warrant because the guy complied with a law. And yes, even judges violate the constitution sometimes.

Judges allowed the Japanese-American internment camps, and I’m sure there were very polite guards too.

You said you were fortunate enough to have never been told to do something unethical (paraphrasing). I think it may be because you have a much lower bar for what is ethical.
