I picked up this model 10 (25 cal) for dirt money. It goes click but no bang. Actually, it went bang once, but it took about 10 different bullets to get a bang.

Ripped it apart and took a look - seems like the firing pin is bent a little, and probably worn down in addition. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can get one of those. If not, a friend of mine has a metal shop and can probably make one for me.

Here's a picture of the gun:

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I could except that I just gave it to my friend with the machine shop. I'll see if he can e-mail me a picture of it.

I haven't found ANY reference to it anywhere online. I've googled like mad, with nothing.

Let me see if I can get a pic.

Thanks.

Unless your friend makes firing pins all the time I would suggest reading:

Proper hardening of the pin is very important or you will be making more than one.
I would also suggest hand fitting it before hardening it.

As promised, here are the pictures..... IMGP0760.JPG IMGP0758.JPG

Thanks for the tip on hardening. I'm going to have him make two just in case.

OK -

So it turns out that my friend with access to a machine shop got laid off before he could make my firing pins. Uggg. Sucks for him too - but he'll manage.

So now, I'm *REALLY* looking for a firing pin. Any ideas?
