A few weeks ago, I posted a trio of Mosin Nagant M91's. And I finally took the time to document the last and most important one (bottom in pic). The Remington Arms Company U.S Surcharged Model 1891, dated 1917.
A fellow collector saw me bidding in vain attempts to acquire these generally $900-plus specimens, and took pity on me. Thanks to Ken In Iowa for parting with this beauty for a fair price. It is much appreciated and will be kept with care, sir.
This one has seen some mild handling, but overall bluing is still 95%, and the important stock cartouches are quite legible. All matching, of course. And all Remington marked parts are present. It's finally resting comfortably in the collection.
Now, some more pics. Thanks for looking.
