Well today went to get a holster and 380 ammo for my new sig 238, went to state line gun shop in mason NH, Got some PMC FMJ and some zombie max for carry ammo. Was in and out no checking of LTC nothing I was so pleased i said to myself wow i need to get out of MA..then I was waiting for a pizza to get done later on in the night so i ran into walmart in Lunenburg and looked at there 380 ammo got a box of tulammo 50ct for 14 bucks I think, and man oh man what a hassle..not only did i have to wait 10 minutes to find a "trained" keeper of the all mighty keys, which is besides the point because that has nothing to do with laws in MA, just typical walmart customer service that everyone has come to love.. But then when the guy finally came over he gives me the run down...I need to verify your LTC sir, so i give it to him..he looks at it for a good 3 minutes looking at me and the LTC and then states since it isnt signed he will need to see something else, I open my wallet and hand him my drivers license he then looks at that for another 3 minutes at this point im getting ready to leave! Then he says ok and I go to grab the box I want and he almost ripped my head off! He then escorted me to the front of the store to check out my box of ammo. And the cashier then needs to verify my LTC as well..here we go again. So she looks at it.. then needs to see my drivers license to make sure im 21. I then try to explain that in MA you cant even have a LTC unless your 21 so checking a drivers license to verify age is pointless and she looked at me like I was stupid. Overall. lessoned learned I will not be buying ammo at walmart anymore. But I guess thats what I get for going to walmart in the first place. And I also learned that..you guys who live in any other state than MA are lucky!!

Was it the tall older blond guy with the scraggly beard? He looks like he might have been a hippie in the 60's? I've dealt with him before and if you don't kiss his ass he gives you all kinds of crap.

i cannot wait for the time when i end up dealing with someone like this. i am not usually at the lunenburg walmart buying ammo, but i drive by it every day. if i do ever buy ammo there in the near future and have to deal with anything even half as stupid as the shit posted in this thread the people giving me a hard time are going to wish they just stayed in bed and didn't go to work that day.

if they want to kick shit in your face--kick it back HARDER. we don't have to deal with this. worst case you get thrown out of the store... BFD! it's walmart.

it's just critical defense with a green tip IIRC... will still kill something just the same. what he buys with his money (however ridiclous) is his choice.

did i [rolleyes]... yeah. but whatever.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but I suspect it costs more. And I'm not a lawyer, but I also suspect that a prosecutor could use it to some advantage if anyone ever defended themselves using something like that. But you're right, his money, his choice.

I really just asked because I thought he might be kidding.

This is why I don't buy ammo at walmarts in MA anymore. I had a similar experience a bunch of years ago and never went back to an MA walmart ever again for ammo.

Orange and ridge are great in this area.
Walmart in Orange just started selling ammo again. (They stopped selling for a while) From what I gathered by taking to the 'keyholder' was the Manager needs at least and FID. The management at Orange recently changed or his FID was under renewal.
Rindge is the best (next to Elko Nv) Walmart to buy ammo in.
