Is the addition of tungsten carbide to the rails of Ti guns a relatively new process? When I had mine made (see below) last year or so no one ever mentioned that as an option.

When I mentioned on various forums the only drawback to the Ti framed gun was the slide to frame fit could be a tad rough (galling) and the gun needed a good gun grease (I use Tetra) to be smooth, no one ever said “get the rails carbidized” to me. Just recently did I find this process mentioned while looking through a thread...

Found out Caspian does it for $30.00 so I shipped it right off. Results? Slide/frame action is much smoother and tighter. Highly recommended for anyone with Ti framed gun. Wish someone had mentioned the process before!!!!????
