Troubling times in the kingdom of Whacko

Caught a nasty cold. Athsma flaired up something terrible. Ended up catching an ambulance ride to the hospital Thursday at 3am (first ever). Woke up from a dead sleep and had to use all my strength just to inhale a breath. Rescue inhaler barely touched it so the wife called 911. Unbelievable. Ended up taking a sick day (obviously) for the first time in over a decade. Been home in my chair resting since thursday afternoon. Va will adjust my daily athsma meds. I'll be fine. In all this my Jobs going to hell......in a low spot management wise things are not good......I'll figure it out but I got work to do. All I want to do right now is head to the club and shoot my 1911 and 629 to let off some stress.....haven't been to the club to practice in 7 days but I still feel like ass so thats not gonna happen. Thought about hitting the reloading bench but my heads foggy and don't like making ammo when I'm not my best mentally. So I just started sipping some cheap blackberry brandy to calm my cough and turned on season 1 of longmire for the 3rd time. Lol

I thought I was the only person that doesn’t take ‘sick days’ ever…but I guess I was wrong.

Keep feeling better sir. At least it’s not hunting season yet?

I thought I had asthma. My P.C and an Asthma specialist both said I had it. For 2 years I was sucking on an inhaler. I needed by-pass surgery which went great. I asked the surgeon about my asthma and he laughed. When I asked him what he was laughing about, he said I didn't have asthma. He said it was angina and I was getting ready to have a giant heart attack. Everything went great and it let me live long enough to get cancer twice. Lucky me.
Been there (angina)
Done that ( bypass surgery)
Got the tee shirt, er, scar.
Notched my 3 rd ambulance ride ever.
There's a limit to being the tough guy. The guy that's always doing for others, whether work, family, church, etc. Listen to your body.
Don't ignore it.
