Jane is a Mass resident with a class B permit.

Can she legally drive to her friend's house in NH with a gun unloaded and locked up in her trunk?

Does it matter whose gun it is (e.g., her friend left his gun at her house in MA, she's bringing it back to him)?

Jane can travel IN NEW HAPSMSHIRE with the gun unloaded in her car right next to her, unlocked.

Jane can travel IN NEW HAMPSHIRE with the gun unloaded in a holster concealed on her person in a car.

Jane can walk down Main Street in any city or town IN NEW HAMPSHIRE with the gun strapped to her side openly carried and loaded, no permit required.

Jane can walk around New Hampshire with an unloaded gun concealed on her person, no permit required.

The short version is you need a permit to carry a loaded gun in a car,or a loaded gun concealed on your person.

Not if it's a large capacity handgun, as she only has a LTC-B.

Otherwise, yes.

No.

*My answers pertain to MA law. See post #6 for NH law.
