took the new pup out for squirrels yesterday.

i posted some pics of my new pup Remington in the august acquisitions thread. he's about 4 months old now and is coming along very well. close to 35lbs already so i think he's gonna be big. he's very good in the woods, stays close, doesnt make any noise, but gets really excited when he see's the gun come up. hopefully the taste of some fried squirrel last night helped his drive some too haha.

Cool. I took the pups out today while doing some scouting, and had the .22 handy. No squirrels, but the girls did put up two grouse. It's probably the same bird I've been seeing for the past few years though.

I spotted these birds circling over a swamp, and decided to leave that area alone.
