Tilts

Need some new tilts, bucket, line, and other supplies.

I have a sled and chisel and scoops.

I'd prefer something made locally in Central Massachusetts. Does anybody here know of any good sources for decent locally made tilts? Where is a good local (not chain) shop to get ice fishing supplies? What is a good place for shiners on the South side of Worcester?

I don't particularly care for many of the new tilt styles. I've built my own, but I also buy them on ebay.

There all so 40 up tilts http://www.40uptackleco.com/ . They are made in Westfield MA you can get them at Klems in Spencer. I use these and they are top quality.

I was there a couple of weekends ago. They had a bunch in stock not sure about the double flag ones though.

Depending on what your fishing for I don't recommend the double flag ones. The way it works is that every time the spool turns it ticks the flag to make it tick, the fish can feel that and will drop the bait if they're finicky. Really sensitive fish like trout and salmon are the ones to really watch out for, but even bass can have their days.

For shiners, you can go to Fin, Fur, and Feather on 140 in Upton, or Barry's Bait & Tackle on 135 on the Westboro/Northboro line and also inside MarineUSA on Route 20.
