I have been wanting to get a compound bow for a while now. I ran across CP Oneida compound bows and they are definitely different. Based on the internets, you either like them or you hate them. Anyone have one and if so, do you like it? Also, is it really as smooth a draw as they say? I know they aren't the lightest but any other drawbacks than that?

Wow, some bow designer went full retard there [laugh]. I'm really not much of an equipment expert but I do have two thoughts. First, if this was a good idea 98% of the bow makers wouldn't be doing it the other way. Also, because the recurve-like limbs are vertical, you'll get a good amount of recoil from the bow as the limbs go forward. Most compounds don't have a lot of back-to-front motion.

Personally, if I'm going to go off the rails I'm going to go way off the rails and get one of these.
