So not that long ago I met up with majspud and purchased from him a lovely Ljungman M/42 during which visit I got to take a look at his Swedish M96 and has now apparently spured an interest into these fantastic Swedish weapons. Valentines day I picked up a 1905 Carl Gustafs M96 manufactured in 1905 and today while perusing at the gunshow in Wilmington I added a M41 to the collection (Carl Gustafs from 1900) The M41 is in excellent shape, the bore is super bright with sharp rifling, and I intend for it to be a shooter, like the rest of em. It has a Kahles h/4 x 60 scope on it and the glass is crystal clear. I'm told this came out of a large collection of Milsurps that the dealer today had purchased for re-sale. Can't find any import markings from CAI or anything else on the M41.

Some photos of the 41. Not 100% certain if its a M41 or 41B, as there's not a super large amount of information about them on the web, so if anyone here know's a little bit about what I got please chime in.

I know that rifle, I fondled it at the shop when it came in. It did indeed come from a serious collector who has some amazing pieces. Congrats on picking that one up!

Now you're talking! A sporterized m96 (circa 1911) was the first long gun I'd ever purchased and it's my favorite shooter still. I find the iron sights of the stock rifle a bit minimal, so with my tired eyes, the slight 2x EER scope does help me shoot it better (as a matter of fact, I rarely shoot the stock 1908 m96b). I have a blast shooting economical cast and plated bullets at the steel plate in the backyard. "Bang! ... Ding!" "Bang! ... Ding!"

The M41 came only with the AGA m/42 or the Ajax scope. I would need to see the sight base to determine if it is war-time or post-war.

I also beat yours by one year...and its an Obendorf...we should go head to head one day. I want to change my front sight; it shoots a little high. I have to have my POA 1 ring below the black.

Really nice rifles fellas. I've been wanting an m94 carbine forever but have never seen one in the wild. Someday...
