As I said on the G-98 post the Enfield was a different story. I picked up the SMLE No 1 Mk 3 at the same time I got the Brazilian Mauser. It had a plastic sporter fore stock and someone had pounded a 1973 quarter into the but stock. I looked around and all I could find was an Ishapore Drill/Practice Birch stock set, so that is what I went with. The stock really doesn't match the metal by where is was made but it pretty much matches the look. I did strip the the stock and stained it dark walnut. Most of the Metal parts I used were from other builds and stuff I have collected. After taking the pictures I found some Dummy had forgot to put the rear hand guard on, it is on there now.

Like I said in your DIY thread, you did the universe a favor when you shitcanned that repulsive sporter stock.

Pics of the right wrist? Maker and year?

+1.

There's what looks like a GRI crown there, though I can't really tell.

eta: never mind. It's a legit 1916 Enfield, obviously. That anyone ever put this into such an abominable stock is scary.
