BTW, I did it in the Winter when the ground was snow covered so it wouldn't start a forest fire.

And stay out of sight of the Coast Guard or Marine Police. You don't want to be cited for a false alarm.

The white ones could be "training" flares. Not sure. Wouldn't want to count on my local cop knowing the difference.

If I remember correctly someone did something similar with a cross-bow SE MA on either 95 or 495 and the state changed the law/rules (not sure which), to make that illegal.
