Switch a saftey sear housing with a non safety block?

This may be a dumb question but I was searching and didn’t know if you can take a m&p shield 9mm 1.0 with a thumb safety and which the seat housing block with one that is a non thumb safety. Has anyone tried or done this before or is it even doable?

should be able to, I also delete the mag disconnect too if it has that crap.

I'd also put the latest version of the slide lock in it too if it doesn't have it already, they were revised several times during M&P 1.0
